금 거래량 역대 최대…"이제 시들?" 전문가 답은...jpg
목요일 친절한 경제 시간입니다. 오늘(3일)도 한지연 기자 나와 있습니다. 금값이 올랐다는 얘기 저희가 친절한 경제에서도 몇 번 다뤘었는데요. 한국거래소에서의 금 거래량이 역대 최대를 기록했다고요.올 상반기 경제 키워드를 꼽으라면 바로 불확실성이 있는데요.이럴 때 뜨는 게 안전자산이죠.한국거래소 KRX 금시장 거래량만 봐도 37.3톤인데요.2014년 개설 이후 사상 최대를 기록했습니다.이게 어느 정도 많은 건지 감이 안 잡히실 텐데요.작년 상반기에 보면 9톤이었는데, 이것보다 4배나 이상 급증한 거고요.지난해 연간 거래량인 26.3톤과 비교해 봐도 이미 상반기에 넘어선 수치로 1.4배 수준에 달했습니다.올해 상반기 금값 상승세도 두드러졌습니다.올해 상반기 1g당 14만 4천 원으로 지난해 10만 6천 원보다 36.7% 뛰었습니다.이렇게 금 거래량이 늘고, 금값이 뛴 이유, 바로 올 상반기 그 어느 때보다 경제 불확실성이 커지면서 안전자산에 대한 선호심리가 강해졌죠.미국과 유럽 주요국의 통화정책 불확실성과 또 미국발 관세정책으로 인한 불확실성, 이에 따른 글로벌 경기둔화 우려와 여기에 전쟁 이슈로 인한 지정학적 리스크가 겹쳤던 게 큰 영향을 미쳤습니다.누가 이렇게 많이 샀나 봤더니 역시나 금을 사두면 돈이 된다. 이런 소리에 개인들이 많이 투자했네요.KRX 금시장 투자자는 개인 투자자가 절반이 돼서 46.9%로 가장 많았고요.기관이 34%, 실물사업자가 19.1%로 그 뒤를 이었습니다.특히 개인 비중은 지난해보다 3.9% 포인트 증가했습니다.실제 금 거래를 위한 개인 계좌 수도 큰 폭으로 늘어서요.지난 3월 기준 국내 증권사를 통해 개설된 금 계좌는 145만 개로 지난해 132만 개 대비 10% 늘었습니다.금은 종로에서 직접 사는 거 말고는 모르겠다 하시는 분들은 잠깐 참고하시면 좋은데요.KRX 금시장은 금을 주식처럼 거래할 수 있는 국내 유일의 장내 금 현물 매매시장이죠.금 1kg과 100g 두 종목이 상장돼 있고, 일반투자자는 증권사나 선물사를 통해 금 현물계좌를 개설한 후 1g 단위로 소액 거래를 할 수 있습니다.금은 KRX 금 시장에서 직접 투자하지 않고 관련 상장지수펀드인 ETF와 상장지수증권 ETN을 통해서도 투자할 수 있는데요.특히 최근에는 각각 한 종목씩 새로 상장되면서 금투자 접근성도 함께 확대된 상황입니다.그런데 요즘은 금값이 좀 시들시들하지 않나, 이렇게 생각하는 분들도 계실 것 같습니다. 하반기 금값은 어떻게 될 것 같습니까?올해 금값 흐름을 좀 보시면 이렇게 상반기에는 좀 가팔랐다가 최근 들어서 좀 주춤한 상황이기는 한데요.그래도 전문가들은 점진적인 상승세를 전망하고 있습니다.전문가들은 올해 하반기에도 금값의 추가 상승 여력이 있다고 내다보고 있는 건데요.골드만삭스 등 월가 투자은행들은 중앙은행의 매입 확대, 연준의 금리 인하, 글로벌 불확실성이 계속된다는 걸 근거로 올해 말까지 국제 금값이 7~8% 더 올라갈 수 있다고 전망하고 있습니다.국내 금값 역시 국제 시세와 환율 변동에 따라 추가 상승 가능성이 열려 있습니다.다만, 이미 높은 가격대와 경기 둔화에 따른 소비 위축 등은 금 테크 확산의 걸림돌로 작용할 수 있습니다.시장에서는 금이 여전히 안전자산으로서의 역할을 다하겠지만, 단기 급등보다는 점진적 상승세가 이어질 것으로 보는 시각이 많습니다.
